The Argentinean Youth Organization for the United Nations (OAJNU) is a pluralist NGO, created and directed by young people committed to human development. It was founded in 1995 and has headquarters in the cities of Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Córdoba, Rosario and Salta. Currently OAJNU has around 250 members from 18 to 30 years old.
Project description:
The project aimed to build and strengthen relationships between young people from Latin-America and Africa. By promoting a “South-to-South Youth Network” and offering a 7-day training seminar to build partnerships, encourage peer-to-peer sharing, and enhance dialogue skills on intercultural issues, the project encouraged the development and application of values, knowledge and skills, that promoted and reinforced beneficial and long-lasting intercultural projects. The seminar took place in Argentina in December 2008, and engaged 12 youths from Latin America and Africa.
