Under-Secretary-General Miguel Ángel Moratinos, the High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the United Nations Special Envoy to Combat Islamophobia, was received in Istanbul by H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye. They discussed a wide range of global issues including the work of UNAOC as it turns twenty this year and combating Islamophobia. Mr. Moratinos expressed his gratitude to H. E. President Erdoğan for Turkiye’s political and financial support for UNAOC.
