Description of organization:
Palestinian Vision Organization was established in 1998, and is a youth organization that promotes active roles for Palestinian youth in their communities in the West Bank (including Jerusalem).
The aim of the “Young Achievement”-project was to encourage and empower Palestinian youth to push forward their voices in the society and to take leading roles and responsibilities as citizens and agents for peace, justice and social change. The goals of the project were to: Promote voluntary work; Help individuals and organizations to develop youth skills; Share decision-making and the process of identifying social needs with youth, and connect youth locally and internationally. During the project the following initiatives were employed: Promotion of empowerment through skill enhancement and awareness raising courses to more than 150 adolescence in six months; 10 issues of concern were identified in marginalized or remote areas and ways were sought to highlight, discuss and address them collectively within six months; 12 University students were trained to become coaches during a six months process.
