The Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations are co- organizing an Arria-Formula Meeting on the theme “Religious Leaders for a Safe World”.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 24 April 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the ECOSOC Chamber at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
The meeting will be an occasion for the United Nations community and other relevant stakeholders, including representatives of faith-based organizations, to stress the significance of fostering respectful tolerance across diverse cultures and religions, to address violent extremism and terrorism, and to reiterate the principles of relevant UN resolutions.
