OIC High-Level Segment on the Promotion of the Culture of Peace and Tolerance:
In Commemoration of the 1500th Anniversary of the Birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Pursuant to OIC Resolution 15/51-C, adopted at the Fifty-First Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers in Istanbul on 21–22 June 2025, and in line with operative paragraph 5 requesting a high-level commemorative event during the United Nations General Assembly’s High-Level Week, the OIC will convene, for the first time, an international event dedicated to the life and legacy of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon Him, his family, and his companions). The event will be held on 22 September 2025 at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
