Conflict mediation and peace building: strengthening the role of women

UNAOC will support a 2-day high-level conference organized by Fundación Mujeres por África, entitled “Conflict mediation and peacebuilding: strengthening the role of women”, which will take place in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo on 16 to 17 July.

The event will bring together women mediators from the Central African Republic, Mali and the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as national authorities, multilateral and civil society organizations, with the aim of addressing crucial issues relating to the role of women mediators in conflict resolution, combating violence and peacebuilding.
