I extend my warmest wishes to Muslims around the world on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Ramadan is a time of reflection, compassion and generosity. It invites us to deepen our sense of shared humanity, strengthen solidarity with those in need, and reaffirm the values of dignity, respect, and living peacefully together.
I recognize the profound spiritual significance of this month and the important reminder it offers: that empathy, mutual understanding, and care for one another must guide our societies — especially at a time when divisions, prejudice, and hatred continue to affect communities across the globe.
Ramadan also highlights the richness and diversity of Muslim communities and their vital contributions to dialogue, culture, and social cohesion. Protecting freedom of religion or belief and countering Islamophobia and anti-Muslim hatred remain essential to building inclusive and peaceful societies for all.
May this blessed month bring peace, health, and hope to you and your loved ones.
Ramadan Kareem.
