UNAOC: Two Decades of Dialogue for Humanity

What:
The 11th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) will be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the city of Riyadh on 14–15 December 2025 under the overarching theme, “UNAOC: Two Decades of Dialogue for Humanity — Advancing a New Era of Mutual Respect and Understanding in a Multipolar World”.
The 11th UNAOC Global Forum will be held at a critical point of history, marked by deepening divides, widespread conflicts across the globe and fading trust in the effectiveness of global governance structures and the multilateral system. The Forum will bring together political leaders, international and regional organizations, religious leaders and faith actors, as well as representatives of the private sector, civil society, academia, youth, arts, sports and media, who will renew their shared commitment to the enduring power of dialogue, mutual respect and understanding. As UNAOC enters its third decade, the Forum will serve as an opportune occasion to commemorate the 20th anniversary of UNAOC and to chart its future course in the pursuit of lasting peace.
Who:
The 11th UNAOC Global Forum will convene members of the UNAOC Group of Friends — including Heads of State and Government, Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs, and Heads of International Organizations — as well as religious leaders and faith actors, the private sector, civil society, academia, youth, arts and media, and donor agencies and foundations, who will address global issues pertinent to peace and security and call for restoring trust and uniting in peace.
The Official Opening Ceremony will feature:
- His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom
- H.E. Mr. António Guterres, United Nations Secretary-General
- H.E. Mr. Miguel Angel Moratinos, Under-Secretary-General, High Representative for UNAOC, and UN Special Envoy to Combat Islamophobia
- Spain and Türkiye (co-sponsors of UNAOC)
The High-level Meeting of the UNAOC Group of Friends will feature interventions from Heads of Delegations.
