Students are invited to submit papers for the 1st Euro-Mediterranean University Research Souk on 9 June 2009.
The topic of this year’s conference is ‘the Unity and Diversity of Euro-Mediterranean Identities.’ Detailed information about the conference as well as an online application are available here. Papers of 1500 to 2000 words in length need to be submitted at latest by 4 May, 2009.
EMUNI is an official research network partner of the UN Alliance of Civilizations.
The Mediterranean Region is a multicultural, universal environment which links people, ideas and knowledge. The Euro-Mediterranean peoples can view a broaden identity of their civilizations, within a long historical process of interaction with close, distant and different countries.
Contributions from various areas related to Unity and Diversity of Euro-Mediterranean Identities are welcome including multiple identities in the Euro-Mediterranean region, identity as a product of interactions with others, shared and different values, cultural unity, bridging the gap between cultures, intercultural education and its contribution to the cultural unity, university-enterprise dialogue, and others.
