It gives me great pleasure to know that you are gathering in Amman at this critical time to contribute to the efforts to find solution of the crisis situation in Syria.
I remain hopeful that the political process will continue to find a peaceful resolution of the Syrian conflict. Moreover I’m reminded that the spiritual heritages you represent, and the wisdom drawn from our diverse spiritual and religious paths have an important role to play in solving conflicts at large, as well as in Syria.
The Alliance was created with the intention of fulfilling the vision of friendly relations among nations and people as enshrined in the Charter. I am scheduled to travel to different nations during the time of your Consultation, and I am sending this message of support and encouragement. We share a common commitment to creating bonds of friendship and peace in Syria and around the world.
I applaud the Universal Peace Federation for organizing this Consultation, and I wish you all success and progress in your noble endeavor.
