SUMMARY:Responsibility of Religions and Governments for Peace - Between Autonomy and Complementarity
DESCRIPTION:Religion is an important source of understanding\, peace and stability for many people. National governments and the international community should therefore consider measures to strengthen the potential of religious actors to support peace and build bridges. In this spirit\, the German Federal Foreign Office launched the “Responsibility of Religions for Peace” initiative earlier this year. \nThis conference will bring together religious leaders\, civil society representatives\, policymakers and representatives of multilateral organizations. It seeks to identify the main challenges to cooperation across different religions and the conditions for effective cooperation in the future. \n\nPlease RSVP to rrp-event@giz.de by 29 November 2017\nto accommodate you accordingly as space is limited. \nYour title\, full name and name of organization is needed to ensure smooth access procedures. It is important to bring your passport or picture-ID. \n\n\nCo-sponsored by: \n\nUnited Nations Population Fund\nUnited Nations Office on Genocide Prevention and the Responsibility to Protect\nUnited Nations Alliance of Civilizations\nReligions for Peace\n\n\nDownload (PDF\, 267KB)
