SUMMARY:Young Peacebuilders Symposium (6th edition)
DESCRIPTION:UNAOC will hold the culminating symposium for the 6th edition of its Young Peacebuilders programme\, focused on Latin America and the Caribbean\, in Córdoba\, Spain\, from the 28th to the 29th of November. \nThe Young Peacebuilders programme is a peace education initiative that is designed to support young people in gaining skills that can enhance their positive role in issues of peace and security and in preventing violent conflict and extremism.  \nThe symposium will feature the peacebuilding efforts of the participating young peacebuilders from Latin America and the Caribbean region\,  and will serve as a platform to bring visibility to the initiatives\, actions\, and projects initiated by young people to promote peace\, respect for diversity\, and mutual understanding. Policymakers\, UN officials\, representatives from civil society\, the private sector\, the media\, and academia will interact with them and exchange ideas on the role of youth in peacebuilding.
