DESCRIPTION:Resisting Disinfodemic: Media and Information Literacy for Everybody and by Everybody \nMs. Nihal Saad\, Chief of Cabinet and Spokesperson for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC)\, will participate at the UN Roundtable of Media and Information Literacy Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2020\, with the theme “Resisting Disinfodemic: Media and Information Literacy for Everybody and by Everybody”.\n \n \n\nAs disinformation has become a cross-cutting problem for the different goals of the 2030 Sustainable Development agenda\, so too different UN agencies may find shared interests in the role of Media and Information Literacy (MIL) as part of the responses. This document outlines some ways in which MIL is relevant to the mandates of different members of the UN family\, and possible points of co-operation.
