The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) will participate the second meeting of the Network of Communication Officers on Migration (NETCOM) on 7 May 2019 at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
This meeting will gather communication officers and political advisers working in the relevant ministries and agencies of OECD member countries to discuss communication objectives and challenges in the area of migration and integration, and share good practices. UNAOC will participate in a session on the role of social media in communicating about migration, and will address the issue of hate speech and fake news.
