It is an honor for me to participate in this event to commemorate the International Day for Women. Gender equality and the empowerment of women has been a priority for me throughout my career and it continues to be crucial in my current position. Before I offer you some highlights of our work at the UN Alliance of Civilizations to empower women within our mandate, I would like to salute the reforms and programs that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is putting in place as part of the implementation of Vision 2030.
