Core Organizers
The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations is a project of the United Nations Secretary-General which seeks to strengthen relations and reduce tensions between different cultures. It was co-sponsored by the governments of Spain and Turkey in 2005, and today has over 100 participating countries and international organizations. The Alliance works to reduce cultural tensions by promoting dialogue, policies and projects, particularly within the areas of youth, education, migration and media.
TheInternational Organization for Migration (IOM) is the principle inter-governmental organization operating in the field of migration. IOM works to help ensure orderly and humane management of migration, to promote international cooperation on migration issues, to assist in the search for practical solutions to migration problems and to provide humanitarian assistance to all migrants in need.

Al Jadeed is a 24-hour Arabic-language TV station which broadcasts general-interest programming across the Middle East. Al Jadeed was launched in 2001 in Lebanon and the Arab Countries. In 2005 it was launched in America and the Pacific, reaching Arab speakers in the United States, South America and Australia.
The Anna Lindh Foundation is an organisation shared and resourced by over forty Euro-Mediterranean countries, to bring people together as a way to promote dialogue between cultures and respect for diversity. The Foundation leads regional initiatives and support local activities carried out by organisations based across civil society which advocate for a better understanding among people, religions and beliefs, and champion human rights and democracy.
BaKaFORUM TV and Media Forum is a meeting point and platform for exchange and cooperation for broadcasters, independent producers as well as cultural, educational and societal organizations interested in quality TV work, global education and development education. The annual conference includes sessions, a contest, screenings and workshops. During the year, BaKaFORUM is committed to continuously support common initiatives and projects in line with its mission. BaKaFORUM working process is an annual meeting and continuous cooperation and support for projects connected with the BaKaFORUM focus.
TheCenter for Migration Studies of New York(CMS) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1964. Its primary goal is to support and undertake research, and to provide a forum for debate on international migration. It publishes International Migration Review; a leading peer-reviewed scholarly journal specialized in the subject of international migration.CMS circulates books and monographs, and undertakes original research. It also organizes conferences and forums on international migration, including the National Legal Conference on Immigration and Refugee Policy.
CHINH aims to promote causes of children and marginalized communities through harnessing traditional wisdom, art and culture and rediscovering them in contemporary contexts. CHINH’s prime focus is to create media space for quality children programming through an early education web channel followed by community web channel to showcase to the world a new vocabulary of social change being developed by a handful of people and organizations. CHINH is on its way to create world’s biggest library of children films done by the children through its on-going media literacy programme.
CineySalud (Cinema and Health) is a program of the Department of Public Health of the Autonomous Government of Aragon (Spain). The program collaborates with educators and is implemented in schools at a regional level using film as a way to promote health within the youth, as well as promote self-esteem and empowerment, critical thinking and personal-social responsibility. The program organizes the Festival de Cortometrajes y Spots Cine y Salud, an annual youth video festival around health issues.
COPEAM is an international non-profit organization aiming at being a permanent cooperation and skill-sharing platform for the Mediterranean area audiovisual operators. COPEAM gathers more than 130 members representing 25 countries and takes concrete action in the areas of radio and TV co-production, training, and the preservation and distribution of the audiovisual heritage of the Euro-Mediterranean region.
FFUC(Fondacio Forum Universal de Les Cultures) Coinciding with the arrival of the new millennium, the Universal Forum of Cultures was founded in order to foster a public commitment to dialogue, creativity and common sense in a quest for development that is just, humane, sustainable and peaceful. Based in Barcelona, the Foundation aims to spread the ideas and commitments of the Forum as well as to encourage the holding of further events of a similar nature. In its varied activities it works with a number of United Nations agencies.
The Media Education Centre (MEC) for children and young people is founded as no-political, no-profit and NGO, gathering civilest willing to work for aims of scientific and professional researches about influence and application of media in no-formal education of children and young people (and their teachers) through media literacy, media education and education in media, in accordance with human and children rights on access to information, rights to preservation and respect of cultural, national and religious diversity and the right to participate in media.
NEXOSAlianza Association is a non-profit organization based in Madrid aiming at promoting the Alliance of Civilizations’ purposes and ideas through audiovisual projects. The association aims at exploring the links between civilizations within a framework of respect for human rights and the promotion of cultural and religious tolerance through films, TV series, teaching DVDs, websites and mobile phone games and programs.
No Ghetto is an international inclusive web magazine launched in 2008 with the support of Unesco and the UN Alliance of Civilizations. No Ghetto is run by the team at Respect Magazine, a cutting-edge quarterly review published throughout France since December 2003. Both magazines chronicle the world through the eyes of diversity, and are produced by young people from marginalized communities, mostly in France, Africa and the Middle East.
The Paley Center for Media is a leader in discussing the cultural, creative, and social significance of TV, radio, and emerging media platforms. It is based in New York and Los Angeles. The general public can access its impressive international collection and participate in programs that explore and celebrate the creativity, the innovations, the personalities, and the leaders who are shaping media.
TheRedUNIAL is a network of organizations and individuals working in the development of creative media education and value-based initiatives for children and youth. Red UNIAL is an initiative of the Habana Film Festival.
The Roots & Routes International Association is a non profit organisation seeking to create a platform for the promotion of cultural and social diversity in arts and media, providing information, exchange of best practices and services to associations, organisations and individuals throughout Europe and beyond. The R&R INT member organisations are highly experienced in organising national and transnational youth projects in the field of performing arts, visual arts, multimedia and youth education.
The Royal Film Commission Jordan seeks to develop an internationally competitive film industry in Jordan as a means of advancing the country’s creative economy.
Senza Frontiere-Without Borders Film Festival is committed to show films that embrace a common humanity among people. Filmmakers expose powerful individual stories, which transcend mental and physical borders.

Sunchild Environmental Festival is held every second year and is the only environmental festival in the South Caucasus region. From October 25th to 29th the second edition of SunChild Festival will be held. The festival will take place at different venues (NPAK Center, Marriott Hotel, Naregatsi Art Center) in the city centre of Yerevan, Armenia.
United Nations Television (UNTV) output includes the award-winning TV magazine series 21st Century. Distributed monthly by the UN’s Department of Public Information to more than 50 broadcasters worldwide, the series reflects UN priorities and important issues affecting the world, and our lives, today. UNTV also produces UN in Action — an award-winning series of short television features on the work the UN and its agencies. UN in Action is distributed on demand to more than 45 broadcasters in 27 countries as well as 15 UN field offices.
TheUNESCO Audiovisual E-Platform is a multicultural, online catalogue for independent producers and broadcasters. It aims to promote the international distribution of television content from South to North and from South to South. While providing independent filmmakers and producers with an effective promotional and marketing tool, it offers a rich program source to broadcasters, festival organizers and other interested institutions.
UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund) is an agency devoted to the welfare of children across the world. UNICEF was established in 1946 and currently has over 200 offices in 115 developing countries. The current focus is on establishing long-term human development and on providing emergency relief and rehabilitation assistance when needed.
USAIM is an agency whose mission is to broaden awareness and mobilize private sector resources in support of domestic and international programs that provide assistance to migrants. Doing so primarily by supporting and promoting the work of the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Particular areas of concern are international emergency relief, counter-trafficking, health (especially HIV/AIDS), mass information for migrants and refugees, and micro economic development programs.
