BUILDING SWITZERLAND FOR ALL OF US

CDS wants to contribute to a nation of communities. Through families, congregations, neighborhoods and friends, what will define Switzerland of tomorrow is how we come together as one today. In healthy communities, we feel safe, valued, welcome, happy. What makes a community vibrant also makes a vibrant nation. CDS wants to create these community values – their essential belief that we are all connected to each other and interdependent, that the Switzerland community includes everyone and leaves no one behind, that we care for each other and believe in shared responsibility and shared sacrifice, that we know everyone has inherent value and worth in the story. CDS wants to develop the campaign for community values a national coalition that will bring together over 360 grassroots community organizations that is changing public policy to make Switzerland work for everyone. CDS stands up and defends the shared values we all believe in- the values that are the core of Switzerland’s success and the core of our prosperous future. Switzerland’s greatest accomplishments as a nation will come when we have worked together for the common good. We have realized that community values have been under attack. The gap between the super-rich and everyone else has grown. Racism and discrimination persist. Government is run by special interests. But we want to respond with a national movement of Community Values voters and citizen activists demanding change at the ballot box and policy change in communes, cantons and in the Confederation.
