International Students contribute $18.8 billion to US economy in 2009/2010

 

The economic impact of international students and dependents amounted to nearly $US18.8 billion in 2009/2010, according to the estimates of the National Association of Foreign Student Advisers.

A detailed statistical analysis of the economic benefits of international benefits of international education to the United States is available here. It is to be noted that this report does not rely on the “multiplier effect,” although this might be a more accurate estimate of the impact.
